A LETTER FROM THE LINCOLN THEATRE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - THOMAS MAYES

It is hard to believe June is almost here, and the Lincoln is wrapping up another year of exciting programming. The 2009-2010 season brought us the first year of live broadcasts from New York and London, as well as new performers like Cambalache and Jason Webley. Our space may be historic, but the art we present strives to remain relevant to our changing world. It is this combination that makes the Lincoln such a unique asset for all of us throughout the region. To celebrate this I hope you will join us on May 22 as we hold our annual Producer’s Night fundraiser. In times bad and good, the individual gifts and memberships we recieve are the most important part of our annual budget. Next year the Lincoln celebrates its 85th anniversary bringing together the people of Skagit County. We have faced rough times as of late, but like the economy we are seeing signs of recovery. The only way to continue growing, and guarantee an anniversary year as exciting as the 1926 opening, is for our donors to continue underwriting programs. Read up on the event in the paragraph below, and take a night out among friends to make a lasting impact on the arts in Skagit County.
