In observance of National Military Appreciation Month, the Lincoln Theatre is showing one of the greatest war films of all time: The Longest Day, with an all-star cast headed by John Wayne, Robert Ryan, Robert Mitchum, and Henry Fonda.

In 1944, the U.S. Army and Allied forces plan a huge invasion landing in Normandy, France. Despite heavy losses, the allies travel deep into French territory. The German military, due to arrogance and ignorance, delay their response to the Allied landing, with crippling results.
