As we head into the spooky season, the Lincoln Theatre presents the film series Mystery Spots: Somewhere between Haunted and Enchanted. These three films are centered on enigmatic, inexplicable places -- and what happens to the people who go there.
Join us at White Branches -- Mount Vernon's magical tearoom -- for this otherworldly film series. White Branches is located at 100 E Montgomery St on the second floor of Mount Vernon’s historic Old Town Grainery building.
Your ticket purchase includes pre-show interactive entertainment, as the spirits of the Old Town Grainery begin to join in the fun!
Food and drinks will be available for purchase, including White Branches menu bite boxes (limited availability), wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages along with cake, popcorn, and candy.

September 8: Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la Bête)
Director Jean Cocteau's telling of the familiar fairy tale about a gentle-hearted beast in love with a beautiful girl is the most mesmerizing of the many adaptations.
Belle's father wanders into the garden of the Beast (Jean Marais) and picks a rose for his daughter, incurring the Beast's wrath. Although her father is sentenced to death, Belle (Josette Day) insists on taking his place at the Beast's castle.
The Beast falls in love with her and proposes marriage on a nightly basis, which she initially refuses. Belle eventually becomes more drawn to the Beast, who tests her by letting her return home to her family, and telling her that if she does not return to him within a week, he will die of grief.
The simple tale of tragic love turns into a surreal vision of death, desire, and beauty.
