LIVE IN CONCERT: LAURA VEIRS
The Lincoln Theatre is pleased to welcome Laura Veirs to our stage!
Portland-based singer/songwriter Laura Veirs has roots in folk, alternative country, indie pop, and punk; in addition to her dozen solo albums, she's known for collaborating with Neko Case and k.d. lang on the case/lang/veirs project.
Veirs brings her guitar to the Lincoln for an intimate set featuring songs from her latest album, Found Light, as well as a selection of her catalog hits.
"The Portland songwriter captures a mood of ordinary enchantment on her spacious and stirring 12th record. It’s a world in which each thing burns with a particular scent, or a taste, or, most often, a color: blue flames, yellow coats, green kites, black flags, white roses, orange patterns on a wall. On the edge of this vibrant new world, Veirs names everything she feels and sees, with breakthrough frankness and the occasional whip-sting of vengeance, and it’s thrilling to share in that freedom with her." —Brian Howe, Pitchfork
