Theater Arts Guild presents The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Get ready for a night full of laughter, heart and a little bit of friendly competition!
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a hilarious musical that follows an eclectic group of six middle schoolers (played by adults) as they compete for the ultimate prize: the title of spelling bee champion. Under the watchful eyes of the vice principal; a former spelling bee champion; and a comfort counselor – who are just as quirky as the kids – the spellers work their way through rounds filled with unexpected challenges and unique methods for winning the bee.
This Tony-award winning musical celebrates the joy of growing up, the pain of competition and embraces the awkwardness of adolescence. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience that will have you laughing out loud at the witty dialogue, clever songs and charm.
