To celebrate the holidays, Breakup Season returns for a one-night only engagement, featuring a live musical performance by Rae Isla before the film.
A young man (Chandler Riggs, The Walking Dead) brings his girlfriend (Samantha Isler, Molly's Game) to his rural Oregon hometown for Christmas to meet his family. But upon arriving, things don't go as planned, and an argument leads to a breakup. When winter weather traps her there for the holidays, comedy, drama, and serious heartbreak ensue. Also starring James Urbaniak (Palm Royale), Brook Hogan, Jacob Wysocki (Dropout), and Mount Vernon's very own Carly Stewart.

Breakup Season is an award-winning independent holiday movie shot entirely in La Grande, Oregon. The film screened at 39 film festivals worldwide, winning 34 awards before earning a theatrical release in late 2024. The film continues to connect with audiences as a heartfelt holiday story about love, family, and forgiveness -- returning to select theaters this season by popular demand!
About the Music:
Rae Isla is a singer-songwriter from Bainbridge Island, WA. Rae Isla’s music blends indie folk and atmospheric pop with heartfelt vocals and cinematic warmth. Her music has been featured in the film Ezra (starring Robert De Niro), and her song "Free to Love" appears in the Breakup Season trailer and on the upcoming vinyl soundtrack release.
She recently completed a Pacific Northwest tour, performing in 11 cities across Oregon and Washington. Before the film begins, enjoy a special live set from Rae and her band in her first-ever performance at the Lincoln Theatre.
Mount Vernon Connection - Carly Stewart
In December 2024 Breakup Season won over the hearts of audiences in Mount Vernon, the hometown of actress Carly Stewart, who plays the scene-stealing younger sister Liz in the film in her big-screen debut after growing up performing at the Lincoln.
We’re thrilled to return for this strong>special holiday encore screening, with Carly back on stage just in time for Christmas -- this time joined by live music from a Washington musician.
After the Film
Actress Carly Stewart and writer/director H. Nelson Tracey will host a brief Q&A following the screening. Afterward, all ticket holders are invited to an after-party celebrating the film's vinyl soundtrack release, with Carly, Nelson, and Rae available for record signings and meet & greets.
