The Lincoln is pleased to screen the Oscar nominated film Black Swan prior to the Acadamey Award ceremonies at the end of the month. Black Swan received a total of five nominations inluding Best Picture and Natalie Portman, Golden Globe winner and mom-to-be, is a favorite for lead actress.

Black Swan is a psychological thriller set in the world of New York City ballet. Featured dancer, Nina, finds herself locked in a web of competitive intrigue with a new rival at the company.

Director Darren Aronofsky considers this film to be a companion piece to his 2008 Oscar darling, The Wrestler. This one is about two rival ballet dancers in a production of Swan Lake. Natalie Portman is best suited to play the White Swan (innocence), while Mila Kunis is best suited to play the Black Swan (guile). The excellent Vincent Cassel plays the director of the production.
