BATTLE OF THE BANDS - COMING APRIL 11 & 12
The tremendous success of Skagit Theatre Camp, and demand for more classes from our experienced and trained educators, has led the Lincoln Theatre to open the Lincoln Players Theatre School. It is part of the Lincoln Mission to inform and inspire, which our educators will do with small class sizes to allow for direct one-on-one training.
Our theatre school offers:
- Experienced and trained professional theatre artists who are experts in their field.
- Beginning to adult training that is age and experience appropriate.
- Skills based courses in theatre crafts meet student where they are, engaging new and experienced students alike
- Learning outcomes for each course that challenge students
- A warm and friendly classroom that encourages students taking place inside the Historic Lincoln Theatre.
At the Lincoln Theatre, the words "education" and "community" are not simply parts of catchphrases to be found in a brochure. Around here they represent who we are and what we do. We take those words very seriously. From the Arts in Education program that brings young people from throughout Skagit County to the Lincoln to experience top quality performances at minimal to no cost to the students, to collaborations with Skagit County School Districts, Skagit Valley College, Mount Vernon Parks and Enrichment Services, and the Mount Vernon Library to present wonderful family entertainment; to the work we do with many social service agencies throughout the region to provide opportunities for education and self improvement; the Lincoln Theatre is well positioned to continue a long tradition of providing educational opportunities and community support to the residents of the Skagit Valley and beyond.

Centennial Advisory Committee
The Lincoln Theatre Center Foundation Board of Directors and staff want to have input from members, volunteers and Lincoln Theatre lovers as we near our 100th Anniversary by forming an Advisory Committee. These Lincoln supporters work with board members and staff to offer ideas or suggestions that strengthen the theatre’s mission, secure our place in the community, and serve as a sounding board for future projects and campaigns.
Informal meetings are held quarterly, or as determined by the committee members, with different planned topics of discussion at each meeting. This is a great way to support the Lincoln without a huge time commitment.
