The award-winning documentary Curtain Up! follows young students in New York City's Chinatown as they prepare for a musical production of Frozen and begin to explore their identities.

Behind the scenes, nervous excitement and flubbed lines jostle against cultural stereotypes, family expectations, and post-graduation uncertainties. Through rehearsing for this American favorite, the young actors grapple with their Asian roots. What will they gain, and will they have to let something go?

After each screening there will be a discussion / Q&A with Damond Morris, Development Director for the Lincoln Theatre and Education Coordinator for Skagit Theatre Camp.

Presented in partnership with New York International Children’s Film Festival.

Directed by: Kelly Ng & Hui Tong
