Marilyn Monroe stars as Lorelei Lee, a showgirl engaged to a naive, wealthy fellow (Tommy Noonan) whose even wealthier father suspects Lorelei of being a gold-digger after his fortune.

When Lorelei and her best friend Dorothy (Jane Russell) head to sea on a cruise to Paris, they're shadowed by a private eye (Elliott Reid) who's been hired by the father to report on Lorelei's behavior -- and, boy, with all the admirers that the gals collect, he'll be busy for sure!

Marilyn's rendition of "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" -- and her pink dress -- is an absolute show-stopper of a musical number.
