Every Life on Earth Depends on Our Collective Willingness to Do the Right Things … Right Now.
We are in the greatest Climate Emergency humanity has ever faced. In the absence of political leadership, five PNW citizens felt duty bound to act. Last October, they Shut Down for one day all pipelines carrying Canadian Tar Sands Oil into the United States. Now they face felony charges, up to 95 years in prison, and hundreds of thousand dollars in fines and legal fees. Come hear their stories.

In the Art Bar: Deirdre Czoberek

Deirdre Czoberek grew up in a household full of artists, and that strong influence guided her toward a career in the arts. She completed her BFA in painting in the early nineties at the University of Washington, then worked to pursue any possible employment connected with the arts.

After having her first child, Deirdre and her husband moved to Skagit County where she applied her creativity while working to restore their historic home in Mount Vernon.

Feather Bed Designs
Growing up in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, I have always appreciated the varied and abundant bird life we are fortunate enough to be surrounded by.  The skills and artistry of our native raptors, waterfowl and backyard songbirds have inspired me to honor those feathered friends in my own artwork.
I love all that a nest represents...the anticipation of and excitement in preparing for birth, the joy of "hatching" a new life, and everything about being a mom!

In the Art Bar: Dee Doyle

“I am happiest when I am creating and sharing through teaching and making art. My personal artistic journey is a series of ‘what ifs’. I choose to push the boundaries in my work, and try new ways to work the paint, whether it’s acrylics, mixed media, watercolors, or encaustics. In my fourth encore career as an art instructor, I paint a wide range of subject matter in various mediums … always trying to impart a personal response to whatever subject happens to show up in the lessons I teach. Whatever I am painting at any time is my favorite thing to paint, and it all makes me smile.”
