Laura is a well-meaning single mother who is forced to drive her estranged pot-dealing father, Jack, from Texas to California, with her troubled son Henry along for the ride. While Jack uses Henry and the road trip to help him distribute his copious supply of marijuana, Laura finally confronts Leonard - her dead-beat ex-husband.
Director: Shana Feste
Cast: Vera Farmiga, Christopher Plummer, Lewis MacDougall
What the critics are saying:
"The writing is smart and funny, the scenery along the Pacific coast is glorious, and the performances are all topnotch. It was a labor of love for the director, and her close connection to the material is apparent." - Alexandra MacAaron, Women's voices for Change
"There's real love in that routine, and that's where Farmiga and Feste shine." - April Wolfe, Village Voice
"That's the easy, low-grade charm of "Boundaries." Like the effects of Grandpa's weed, its performances loosen up - and at times even find the profundity in - a stiff and sometimes silly tale." - Michael O'Sullivan, Washington Post
