The Ring at the Met

The Metropolitan Opera’s new production of Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen features a cast of today’s greatest Wagnerian singers, led by Bryn Terfel (Wotan), Deborah Voigt (Brünnhilde), Jay Hunter Morris (Siegfried), and Jonas Kaufmann (Siegmund). The four-opera epic is directed by Robert Lepage and conducted by Met Music Director James Levine and the company’s Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi. The production premiered at the Met over the course of the 2010–11 and 2011–12 seasons.

Join us this weekend for our annual Open House that coincides with the Tulip Festival Street Fair.
 
While you're enjoying the festival sites, sounds and tastes please stop by the Lincoln for free popcorn and soda (while supplies last) and a tour of our Historic Theatre and Wurlitzer organ. Board members, theatre organists and other volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions.
 
We'll be open from noon to five Friday and Saturday.

During the month of March, the Lincoln Theatre art gallery will host a Human Rights Display by local Skagit Valley artists.
Featured artists include Thais Armstrong and Richard Olmsted among others.
An opening reception for this event will take place on Friday, March 2nd from 5 -7 pm in our Art Bar. The Human Rights Display will be up throughout the month of March in conjunction with the Skagit Human Rights
 

For the month of February we will feature the work of two artists in association with WinterStomp on February 4th.
 
Kris Ekstrand Molesworth lives in the Skagit Valley and works in the media of painting and printmaking. She often employs the art of field journaling, drawing outside in a variety of locations in various weather conditions and on a large scale, particularly in the North Cascades and in the farm fields of the valley.

Recent paintings by Elizabeth Haba will be on display through January in the Lincoln Theatre Art Bar.
 
Elizabeth Haba employs various ways of expressing her passion for the creative process. She has worked in many disciplines including film, theatre sets and costume design, architecture, interior design, sculpture and painting. Her painting subjects range from collage, still life and landscapes to portraits. Elizabeth lives on Camano Island with her husband, sculptor Aaron Haba, and their dog, Angel.

Come one, come all to this year’s Volunteer Appreciation Night on Wednesday, December 14th at 6:30PM.
 
It’s the time of year for Lincoln volunteers , staff and board members to get together to celebrate the season and, most importantly, recognize the folks who’ve gone above and beyond the call of duty with their help to support this historic non-profit cinematic and performing arts theatre.
 

Recent paintings by Ron Farrell will be on display through December at the Lincoln Theatre.  Ron's work focuses on the landscape of the Skagit valley and Puget Sound seen from aerial perspectives.  The interplay of farm field, waterways, sky, clouds and light shining off distant horizons provides the inspiration for Ron's art.
 

A reception will be held on Saturday, December 3 from 5:30-7:30pm in the Theatre gallery. All are welcome.

In celebration of National Hospice Month, Hospice of the Northwest invites you to view a compelling documentary film, Consider the Conversation.
 
Consider the Conversation examines multiple perspectives on end-of-life care and includes interviews with patients, family members, doctors and national experts from across the country.
 
The film's goal is to jump-start the conversation between husband and wife, doctor and patient, and within families.
