I found my way to painting after many years of appreciating the work of other artists.
The paintings in this show were inspired by images from Bhutan where I volunteered as a pediatric physical therapist for six months in 2005. During a later visit in 2012, I had the privilege of meeting Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck who opened an art show featuring these paintings as a fundraiser for Ability Bhutan Society, a non-profit organization for handicapped children. I am now honored that five of these paintings are on display in the palace of the King and Queen of Bhutan.

January 2013
My art's primary focus is on the natural beauty, abstract patterns and inherent rhythms of the landscape.  I choose to work in various water media either singly or in various combinations.  The Pacific Northwest Landscape is an endless inspiration for me.  I enamored with the deep forests and magnificent alpine slopes as well as swampy wetlands and coastal marshes. My art continues to move towards an increased focus on design and color to relay my personal interaction with the beauty of this earth and my desire to honor and protect it.

The Arrival of the King

Monday, Dec 24, 7:00 pm

Invite your friends and family to spend part of Christmas Eve celebrating The Arrival of the King with Damascus Road and Communion Churches.
Nativity scenes always present us with a quaint sight: a quiet smiling baby with a glowing orb surrounded by adoring adults. This picture does a disservice to the size and scope of what was happening. The baby lying in the manger was no ordinary baby, nor did he have a glow; this baby was God come to earth.

"Oh, the usual. I bowl. Drive around. The occasional acid flashback."

We are a few month's away from our annual night of Lebowski festivities in June, Dudestock 2013, so we have something special planned to keep all of you 'Achievers' happy. Join the Lincoln Theatre at Riverside Lanes for an evening of bowling, costumes, prizes, white russians, beer, food and the occasional acid flashback!

December 2012
I have worked and lived in the Pacific Northwest all of my life and feel a deep appreciation for the ruggedness and delicate beauty of the people and landscape, here, where our civilized world meets the primitve.
Like the brushy confusion of a secondary forest, the primitive contains complex networks of intertwining systems. I seek to display the inner-connections of these system with the use of subjects presented simply within their environment.

Volunteer Appreciation Night

Tuesday, Dec 18, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Come one, come all to this year’s Volunteer Appreciation Night on Wednesday, December 18th from 5:00 - 8:00pm.
It’s the time of year for Lincoln volunteers , staff and board members to get together to celebrate the season and, most importantly, recognize the folks who’ve gone above and beyond the call of duty with their help to support this historic non-profit cinematic and performing arts theatre.
